Some from Northern & Central Oregon coast, some token Portland shots

Crossing the stateline from Washington to Northern Oregon was a slight anti-climax. We took a wee ferry over the Columbia River instead of doing the huge bridge linking McGowan (WA) with Astoria (OR). We arrived and there were no fanfares or party poppers.

The ride into Portland might have been downhill but it weren’t pretty and we battled with traffic and grit flying in our faces to get to the city. Not to mention a lovely night spent at an RV Park right next to an airport.

However. Portland was a total knock-out. We loved it. Stayed with some super WarmShowers hosts and got travel in a CAR for my birthday. Plus eat vegan donuts, visit a giant book store and drink loadsa coffee.

After that we toddled off down the coast, enjoying some freshly paved roads and some gorge views. Nice one, Oregon!
